Slow Roll for Mental Health — June Cruise

DateSunday 14 June 2026 — 10am

About This Ride

No racing. No fitness test. No dropped riders.

The June slow roll is our monthly mental health ride — a deliberate counter to the culture of hammering it. We ride at conversational pace, stop when people want to stop, and try to make the kind of space where it's easy to talk if you want to, or just ride quietly if you don't.

Route is roughly 18 miles: east along the seafront to Rottingdean, up onto the Downs via Beacon Hill, and back through Woodingdean. Mix of tarmac and light gravel, suitable for most bikes.

Details

  • Meeting point: Madeira Drive, outside the Concorde 2, 10am
  • Distance: ~18 miles
  • Pace: Easy. We mean it.
  • Bikes: All welcome — hybrids, cargo bikes, weird bikes, e-bikes
  • Dogs: Also welcome if they can keep up

What to Bring

Water and a snack. Lights if your bike has them (some of the Downs tracks get tree cover). A willingness to chat, or not chat — both are fine.

We'll stop for coffee in Rottingdean before the climb. Cafe known in advance, payment your own.
